We’re hiring a Project Engineer (Delivery) to join our SP Energy Networks Distribution team in Cambuslang. You’ll be responsible for delivering Investment or Customer Connections Projects throughout the Lanarkshire district with an annual value of approximately £3 million, ensuring compliance with regulatory and licence obligations across the electricity distribution network.
What you’ll be doing
Delivering district business plan outputs in line with financial, regulatory and incentive objectives
Engaging with customers and stakeholders to support communication and delivery of project plans
Coordinating robust project plans to minimise customer outages and improve service performance
Managing performance targets including Customer Minutes Lost, Customer Interruptions, Time to Connect, and Guaranteed Standards
Supporting contract management, operational switching (up to 33kV), and project management activities
Promoting safety and ensuring compliance with all safety legislation
Contributing to continual performance improvement and asset stewardship
Delivering a portfolio of capital investment projects aligned with customer service and regulatory priorities
What you’ll bring
HNC/D in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience within the construction and operations of electricity networks
Experience in a project delivery role
Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and incentive mechanisms
Ability to manage competing priorities using sound engineering and financial judgement
Technical and operational experience in network construction and maintenance
Excellent computer literacy and competency with SAP systems and processes
SAP authorisations with SPEN (or equivalent DNO) are advantageous
