Production Manager (m/w/d) – Chemical Industry (Top-Tier CoMAH Site)

This role is designed with a clear development pathway toward senior site management responsibilities. It offers the opportunity to grow into a strategic leadership role and become part of the long-term succession plan for the site leadership team.
Your Role: Key Responsibilities
As Production Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Your core responsibilities will include:
Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety Regulations, Quality Assurance, and Environmental Procedures
Leading and coaching operational shift teams to ensure accurate reporting and handling of equipment defects and alarms
Managing site production costs, including consumables, utility usage, reagents, and waste disposal
Driving a continuous improvement culture using KPIs and lean initiatives
Ensuring seamless execution and communication of production and logistics plans
Acting as a role model and leader, motivating teams across all levels
Qualifications & Education
Degree-level education or extensive relevant experience in chemical or process industries
NEBOSH Process Safety Certificate or recognized Health & Safety qualification preferrred
What You Bring
Minimum 2 years’ management experience in a chemical industry setting (ideally CoMAH regulated)
At least 4 years of experience leading teams in an operational environment
Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
Proven ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and team development
Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making
