We are currently seeking a Registered MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Services team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality MRI imaging and patient care while ensuring safety, comfort, and an excellent experience for every patient and family member.
This position requires a customer service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and technical skills, capable of working with patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI examinations while maintaining compliance with all MRI safety practices. Independent decision-making and sound judgment are essential in performing daily tasks and assisting coworkers as needed.
The primary responsibility of this role is performing MRI examinations; however, additional X-ray duties within the department may also be required. This position reports to the Imaging Services Director and is classified as hourly, non-exempt.Key responsibilities include:
Performing MRI examinations and ensuring image quality and patient safety
Providing compassionate, patient-centered care during imaging procedures
Explaining MRI safety and procedures to patients, coworkers, and non-imaging staff
Adhering to professional standards and safety protocols for MRI and Radiologic Technology
Utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills to assess, plan, provide, supervise, and evaluate patient care
Collaborating with team members to maintain efficient workflow and high-quality imaging services
Performing additional radiology duties as assigned within the Imaging DepartmentQUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, with additional training or education
Graduation from an approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a registered MRI Technologist
Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of quality and safety
Knowledge & Skills:
Registered by ARRT in Radiologic Technology
Registered by ARRT in Magnetic Resonance (MRI)
Strong communication skills and ability to maintain professionalism with patients and coworkers
Knowledge of MRI physics, protocols, and equipment operation
Licensure, Registration or Certification:
Current A.R.R.T. registration in Radiography and Magnetic Resonance
Current Radiologic Technologist licensure by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Additional registries may be required depending on the modality assigned
