Job Description
A Service/Field technician at McMarro Family Restaurants is part of a facilities team. The team as a whole play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of 46 McDonald’s restaurants. The field/service technician installs, maintains, and repairs Coca-Cola beverage fountain dispenser systems and Multiplex equipment at all of our locations. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, team-focused, and enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. This job requires our technicians to drive to different locations daily, work during different hours of the day and different days of the week.
Responsibilities
Install, service, and maintain Coca-Cola fountain equipment including automatic beverage dispensers, multiplex equipment and cooling equipment at our McDonald’s sites.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues in dispensing equipment.
Perform mechanical services on cold drink equipment and prepare equipment in accordance with IT standards.
Perform preventive maintenance and ensure all equipment meets quality and safety standards.
Calibrate and test equipment to ensure proper beverage flow, taste, and temperature.
Provide on-site support and training on basic equipment operation and care.
Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and daily activity reports.
Respond promptly to service calls and manage time efficiently.
Maintain appropriate levels of parts inventory on-vehicle and orders new supplies as needed.
Follow company and manufacturer safety protocols and sanitation procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree in refrigeration, HVAC, or electronics preferred.
2–3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, refrigeration, or field service (Coca-Cola or similar beverage equipment experience a plus).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
EPA certification (Type I or II) preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina: able to lift 30-50 lbs., climb ladders, carry tools/parts, work in various environments (e.g., kitchen, cooler, outdoors).
Willingness to travel and respond to “on site” service calls for emergencies; flexibility for overtime, work on weekends, and holidays.
