Litigation Attorney
Job Title: Litigation Attorney - Personal Injury
Location: West Palm Beach or Miami, FL
Salary: $110k - $200k (compensation depends on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our team, specializing in personal injury and civil litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in jury trials and litigation strategy, with a commitment to advocating for clients in Florida's legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in personal injury and civil litigation cases
Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents
Manage case files, including discovery and document review
Advise clients on legal rights and options
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Prepare for and attend trials, serving as first chair when necessary
Develop and implement effective litigation strategies
Maintain compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards
Engage in courtroom advocacy and present cases compellingly
Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
Active membership in the Florida Bar
Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on personal injury/medical malpractice
Proven track record of successful jury trials and courtroom experience, 2+ Jury Trials as First Chair
Strong skills in legal writing and oral advocacy, negotiation and client consultation skills
Experience with case management software such as Clio, Needles, or TrialWorks
Familiarity with legal research tools (LexisNexis and Westlaw)
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and legal ethics
Ability to analyze evidence and develop effective litigation strategies
