Job Description

Staff Up is seeking a Quality Inspector in Dallas, TX 75247

Pay: $18/HR

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Must be flexible for Saturdays)

Hours: TBD - Depending on workload

The Quality Inspector perform inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and customer standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing, inspection, and quality control within a cable or wire manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect raw materials, in-process, and finished products for compliance with specifications and quality standards (e.g., UL, CSA, RoHS)

Perform product tests including insulation thickness, conductor resistance, spark testing, and lay-length direction

Record inspection data accurately and maintain proper documentation

Verify labeling, printing, and packaging meet company and customer requirements

Identify and report defects or non-conformities; assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions

Collaborate with production teams to ensure real-time quality control

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications Required:

1+ year of experience in cable or wire production inspection (preferred, not required)

Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, projectors)

Basic understanding of quality standards (UL, ISO 9001, etc.)

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Basic computer skills (data entry, Excel)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work overtime as needed

Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred:

Prior experience in cable or wire production inspection

Experience with in-process quality checks

Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
