Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1940 - $1990
Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week
Weekend Coverage: Required (minimum every other weekend)
Orientation: 36 hours
Patient Population: Adults ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - compact RN license or Ohio state RN license required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system
Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership; second may be a Charge RN) Critical Care Nurse Responsibilities
Float between Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU (MICU), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU based on staffing and patient acuity
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult patients
Initiate and manage IVs, telemetry, ventilator support, and advanced monitoring equipment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, post-transplant (kidney, liver, lung, heart), and acute neurological, cardiac, and surgical conditions
Interpret arterial blood gases, dysrhythmias, and administer emergency medications as needed
Maintain strict infection prevention and isolation protocols
Participate in rapid response and code blue situations
Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed within the organization
