Overview

Allen Mortgage, a dynamic and growth-oriented wholesale mortgage brokerage, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Residential Loan Processor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and is passionate about helping borrowers achieve homeownership. The Loan Processor will play a key role in managing files from submission through funding, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in every step of the loan process.

Key Responsibilities

File Management & Documentation

Review and verify loan applications for completeness and accuracy.

Gather, organize, review, and upload borrower documentation to the lender portals.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines, including TRID and RESPA requirements.

Verify income, employment, assets, and credit documentation.

Communication & Coordination

Serve as a primary point of contact between loan officers, underwriters, title companies, appraisers, and customers.

Coordinate timely ordering and receipt of appraisals, title work, verifications, and insurance documents.

Proactively communicate loan status updates to all parties throughout the process.

Pipeline Management

Manage multiple loans in the pipeline, prioritizing efficiently to meet closing dates.

Identify potential issues early and work collaboratively with brokers and lenders to resolve them.

Track and update loan progress within the company’s CRM or LOS system.

Quality Control

Review and prepare final loan packages for underwriting submission and closing.

Ensure all lender conditions are satisfied before closing.

Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance to prevent post-closing deficiencies.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of residential mortgage processing experience.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA, and VA guidelines; familiarity with wholesale lender portals is a plus.

Skills:

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Proficiency with computers and loan origination systems (Encompass, Lending Pad, or similar).

Education: High school diploma required.

Licensing: NMLS license not required but considered a plus.
