Job Description

A local district is seeking a Substitute Registered Nurse to cover school health assignments across its campuses. The role involves supporting student wellness, managing health episodes, and facilitating preventive care. Applicants must hold a Washington RN license and complete the required state fingerprinting.

Responsibilities:

Conduct student health assessments, handle illness and injury with appropriate care, and determine next steps.

Maintain accurate documentation of student health services and incidents, adhering to regulatory standards.

Collaborate with school administration and staff to ensure safe health environments and align with health protocols.

Deliver medications and treatments per physician orders, monitor outcomes, and communicate with parents/caregivers.

Participate in health education and screenings, monitor chronic health conditions, and assist in health plan development.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

Valid Washington State RN license in good standing.

Previous pediatric, school-nurse, or community health experience strongly preferred.

Must complete state fingerprinting and background check.

Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize in a dynamic school setting, and professional demeanor.

Familiarity with school health regulations, confidentiality obligations, and ability to adjust to varying campus assignments.

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.34 to $60.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
