Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for night shifts in an acute care setting with ARRT, BLS, and WV X-ray license required. Responsibilities
Work in an acute care radiology department with 4 rooms: 3 general X-ray, 1 fluoro, 2 portable units, and 3 C-arms
Imaging includes general X-ray studies, operating room cases, cystos, orthopedic, and gastrointestinal procedures, and fluoro studies
Patient volume averages 110 studies per day
Shifts are 8 or 10-hour nights with every other weekend required
Staffing is 1 technologist overnight, with team support during other shifts
Must be willing to float between general radiology, fluoro, and OR within scope of practice
Uses Cerner Soarian and Community Works EMR and Intellirad/Intelliconnect PACS
Equipment includes C-arms OEC, GE AMX portables with DR-Konica, and diagnostic rooms with Del Medical, Siemens, and Philips
Department orientation includes 5 shifts with a preceptor
Main responsibilities include performing a wide range of radiological procedures in general, portable, OR, and fluoro settings
Permanent staff wear emerald green scrubs; travelers may wear any clean, professional scrubs or match the team color if desired
There is an imaging director and manager available weekdays and a lead tech on most afternoon shifts
Radiologist is in-house until 5pm, on call after hours, with Vrad coverage 2am-6am
First-time travelers will be considered for this role
May be asked to join holiday rotation as needed
Travelers who previously worked at any affiliated facility must have a 2-year gap before reapplying
Travel assignments are limited to 1 year within the system, after which a 2-year break is required Requirements
Current ARRT and BLS certification required
Valid WV X-ray license required if applicable
Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience
Ability to perform in all areas including general X-ray, portables, OR, and fluoro
Must be comfortable as the sole technologist during overnight shifts
WV CARES clearance required prior to start
Must provide a copy of an unexpired driver's license for consideration
Disclosure of any licensing hits required at time of consideration
Must reside at least 50 miles from facility to be eligible Benefits
