Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting with pelvic floor specialization and 2+ years of experience. Responsibilities

Outpatient physical therapy unit with a daily average census of 11 patients

Typical caseload is approximately 9 visits per day

Role specializes in pelvic floor therapy

Preferred experience with Hermann & Wallace pelvic floor courses

Day shift schedule working five 8-hour shifts from approximately 6:45 to 18:15

No on-call required

First-time travelers are accepted

Must live at least 65 miles from the facility to be considered

Responsibilities include providing pelvic floor therapy and managing a consistent daily patient caseload

May be assigned to an emergency team during hurricane season with potential requirement to remain onsite until storm passes or serve as relief

Five-day orientation is provided with required modules completed during orientation hours

Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency at this health system must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler

Personal time off must be specified and discussed during interview to be honored Requirements

Current BLS certification required (AHA only)

Active LA state or compact PT license required; license must be in hand or candidate must apply within 72 hours of signing

Minimum of 2 years' recent outpatient PT experience required

References from two managers or supervisors will be required for clearance prior to starting contract
