Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Alaska requiring an active AK RN license and strong critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
Hospital-based Med/Surg unit with 31 beds
Nurse to patient ratio follows national standards
Uses Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis Supply Stations
12-hour night shifts
On-call coverage required as needed
No floating to other units or departments
Meditech and OBIX training provided, including a 3-day training and unit-specific orientation
Medication testing must be completed onsite within the first two weeks
Scrubs are provided for staff
References must include one supervisor from the past year and one peer or supervisor from the Med/Surg specialty within the last three years
Requirements
Active Alaska (AK) RN license required
Minimum of 3 years recent Med/Surg experience
Current BLS and HS AED certifications required
Strong critical thinking skills required
