Position Title: Registered Nurse – Adult ICU (Full-Time, Nights)
Location: Muskogee Campus
Department: Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Schedule: Full-Time (36 hours/week) 12-hour night shifts (3 per week)
Weekends & Holidays: Required per departmental rotation
Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse provides evidence-based, compassionate care to critically ill adult patients. Responsibilities include continuous patient assessment, clinical decision-making, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and documentation following established protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Active RN license (multi-state or Oklahoma)
6–12 months of RN experience required
Completion of Basic Arrhythmia class within 6 months of hire
ACLS certification required within 3–6 months of hire
BLS certification required
Skills & Abilities:
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of disease management, clinical pathways, and ICU protocols
Ability to prioritize, organize, and document effectively
Works well independently and within a team
Key Responsibilities:
Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to deliver patient-centered care
Manage complex patient conditions in a fast-paced ICU setting
Utilize electronic documentation and adhere to unit-specific policies
Support departmental performance improvement and continuing education initiatives
Work Relationships:
Interacts directly with patients and families
Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals
Interfaces with internal and external healthcare stakeholders
Reports to nursing leadership and works closely with Directors and Managers
