Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive inspections on incoming used vehicle inventory.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across various makes and models.

Conduct routine maintenance services (oil changes, brake jobs, tire rotations, etc.).

Identify and document needed repairs using approved inspection forms.

Collaborate with service advisors and managers to prioritize repairs based on resale needs.

Ensure all work meets dealership quality standards and manufacturer specifications.

Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs and proper function.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Use diagnostic tools and equipment efficiently and accurately.

Keep detailed records of services performed on each vehicle.

Assist in ordering parts and communicating delays or issues with service advisors/sales managers

Ensures work area is kept clean and organized, including trash, scrap and floor cleaned daily.

Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, governing service repair work.

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training is a plus.

2+ years of experience as an automotive technician (used vehicle experience preferred).

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

PA State Inspection License Required

PA State Emissions License Required; OBDII Emissions preferred.

ASE certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic systems and software.
