Job Description
Large Orthopedic group is adding a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to the Interventional Pain Management team at their office in Dorchester, MA. The Provider will manage both acute and chronic injury patients in outpatient setting. Space has Procedure rooms. PA or NP will work autonomously so experience is required. Orthopedic Surgeon and Anesthesiologist are available for phone questions but only in the office one or two days each week for Procedures.
About the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner opportunity
Personal Injury and Work-related injury patients (70% of patients are spine/back injury)
See up to 25 patients each day
Office hours are 8:30-4:30, last patient scheduled at 3:45
1-2 MAs to help room patients and set up procedures
Trigger point injections, joint (shoulder, knee, hip) injections, and PRP injections
EMR is e-clinical works
C arm in office for s Spine Injections
Interventional Pain Management Anesthesiologist will visit the office several times each month for Procedures
PA or NP will complete Physical exam and History, order diagnostic testing, refer to Physical Therapy, refer to Anesthesiologist for Injection or Ablation, and refer to Orthopedic Surgeon for Surgical evaluation
Requirements for the PA or NP Pain Management opportunity
Master’s completed as PA or NP
National Certification Completed
Massachusetts State Medical License
Experience working in PMR, Occupational Medicine, or Orthopedics
Confident in working as solo Provider in office
Interest in Musculoskeletal Anatomy and confident with thorough evaluation and injury treatment including injections and preparation for ablation, epidural, nerve stimulators
Experience reading Xray, CT, and MRI

Base Salary- $120,000-$135,000 (start for 1-2 years of experience)
Bonus- percentage of base salary annual
15 days PTO and 3 sick/personal days
