Job Description

We are currently taking resumes/applications for EXPERIENCED LOCAL Blaster/Painters for the New Iberia, LA and surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

Job Summary:

Applies paint or similar type coatings by brushing and rolling on to surfaces.

Required Skills:

2 Years Min Experience

Tank experience preferred, but not necessary

Must have Experience with Brush and Roller

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Masks specified areas of object to protect from abrading action.

Masks specified areas of objects not to be painted to protect from unwanted over-spray.

Manually directs nozzle over surface of large parts or inserts arms through glove-fitted cabinet openings and manipulates small parts under nozzle for specified interval.

May set up ventilators; exhaust units, ladders, and scaffolding prior to blasting and/or painting

Paint in enclosed and open areas using proper protective clothing and equipment.

Washes surfaces to remove grease, rust, scale, and dirt, using soap and water, or with other solvents.

Cleans sand and debris from work area.

Cleans, maintains, and repairs all painting equipment.

May examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.

Mange house keeping activities when requested.

Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.

Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities

Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.

Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.

Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.

Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.

Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment

Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards

Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately

Physical Requirements:

Must be comfortable working at different heights

Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS

Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks

Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments

Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions

Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions

The employee is occasionally exposed to loud noise, fumes, and/or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock

Documents Required:

Driver's License/Identification Card

Social Security Card/Birth Certificate

MUST have own blast hood.

Must have own PPE (hard hat, steel toes, gloves, & safety glasses.)

Must be able to pass drug screen.

Must have reliable transportation.

Pay:

$18.00-$20.00 (DOE)

Weekly Pay

Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday

Schedule:

10-12 Hour Days (with weather permitting)

Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed)

Duration of Job: Full-Time
