Responsibilities
Provide high-quality patient care in an observation unit setting.
Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Engage in performance evaluations and set personal growth goals.
Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
Utilize data and metrics to evaluate patient outcomes and improve care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.
Experience/Qualifications
Current RN license in New York State and BLS certification required.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Experience in an observation unit or similar healthcare setting preferred.
Excellent communication skills with patients and families required.
Understanding of safety protocols and infection control measures mandatory.
Strong ability to monitor patient conditions and report changes effectively.
Proven collaboration skills with multidisciplinary healthcare teams essential.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.
Willingness to assist in training and orienting new nursing staff.
Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives in healthcare settings.
