Qualifications
Dental assistant certification (Oral surgery experience is preferred)
BLS certified
X-ray certified
Strong communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor
Strong teamwork and proactive work ethic
Prioritizes safety and high-quality patient care
OSHA and HIPPA knowledge
Responsibilities
Ensuring a comfortable experience for every patient
Perform medical intake, obtain vital signs, take clinical photos, perform intraoral scanning, operate CBCT machine
Surgical Assistant - Assist during surgery for local anesthesia only and intravenous sedation procedures
Coordinate procedures performed in between the office, surgery center, and hospitals
Communicate with other health care providers and their teams
Ensure patient files are well-organized and up to date
Patient Care and Communication: Prepare patients for surgery, support patients during recovery, and provide post-operative instructions to patients and families
Prepare and Maintain Equipment: Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal functionality
Record Keeping and Documentation: Accurately enter patient information, treatment details, and progress notes into the practice electronic medical record system
Sterilization and Infection Control: Adhere to strict sterilization procedures and infection control protocols to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment
Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Phoenix Face Maxillofacial Surgery is a surgical clinic specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery with special focus on orthognathic surgery (jaw surgery), cleft lip and palate surgery, facial trauma, pediatric facial surgery, and oral surgery including wisdom teeth removal, dental extractions, bone grafting, and dental implants.
