Directional Driller Or Locator

Job Description

Brinks Boring is currently looking to hire an applicant in the Indianapolis area that is an experienced in the field of horizontal drilling. More specifically we are looking for candidates with experience either operating a horizontal drill or using a locator for a horizontal drill. This job will require intermittent traveling. All hotels and food is paid for by the company when traveling. A large portion of our work is local, however applicants may be asked to do work in IN, IL, MI, or OH.

Applicants must have a good driving record with a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check. Applicant must have working knowledge on how to operate a locator or a directional drilling machine. Applicant must be able to properly secure and haul equipment.

As a driller or a locator you will be responsible for maintaining your equipment and executing bores to spec as well as safely.

All of our equipment is newer and in good working order.

Typical hours worked in a week are 45-50 and the pay is bi-weekly.

Driller/Locator Roles and Responsibilities:

Navigate safely under or above utilities

Strong math skills

Ability to communicate effectively with crew members

Assist driller with setting up the boring machine

Ability to operate a directional boring machine.

Safely be able to transport equipment

Understand utility paint

Not afraid of using a shovel

Reliable means of transportation to get to company shop.Company Description
