OR Circulator Nurse Patient Advocate & Surgical Partner

Southpoint Surgery Center is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled OR Circulator Nurse to join our elite surgical team. We are a leading ambulatory surgery center committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and state-of-the-art environment for both our patients and our staff. As a Circulator, you'll be the patient's voice and the surgical team's partner, ensuring every procedure is conducted with precision and care.

What You'll Do

Be a Patient Advocate: Greet and comfort patients, verify their details and consent, and ensure their safety and well-being from the moment they enter the OR until they're in recovery. You're their eyes and ears while they're under anesthesia.

Coordinate the Surgical Environment: Manage the flow of supplies, equipment, and medications, ensuring the team has everything they need without breaking the sterile field. Your foresight is key to a smooth, efficient procedure.

Ensure Safety and Compliance: Meticulously document all aspects of care, manage surgical counts, and uphold the highest standards of infection control. Your attention to detail is critical for patient safety.

Respond with Poise: Stay calm and decisive in all situations, ready to act quickly and effectively if an emergency arises. You'll maintain your BLS and ACLS certifications and participate in regular emergency drills.

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Proven experience as an OR Nurse with a strong understanding of sterile technique and a variety of surgical procedures.

Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to remain calm and focused in a high-pressure environment.
