Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Licensed Counselors for a full-time, school-based role with districts near the Unity Village, MO area. This position is ideal for compassionate and driven professionals who are committed to helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive educational setting.

Position Details:

Start/End Dates: ASAP May 22, 2026

Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

Setting: Onsite at local school district campuses

Pay Rate: TBD

Position Overview:

The School Counselor will play an integral role in fostering a positive learning environment through student guidance and intervention services. This position focuses on supporting student well-being by addressing academic concerns, social-emotional needs, and college/career readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support student mental health and academic development.

Assist students in creating and following personalized academic and career plans that align with their interests and goals.

Develop and implement intervention strategies for students facing behavioral or emotional challenges.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure the holistic success of each student.

Conduct crisis intervention and provide referrals to appropriate resources as needed.

Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.

Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture.

Requirements:

Active Missouri School Counselor License or equivalent state certification (required)

Masters degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field

Previous experience in a school-based counseling role preferred

Strong communication, crisis management, and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families in a collaborative team environment
