CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist who can follow rules, instructions, and guidelines meticulously. The ideal candidate will be a team player capable of interacting with all departments. This role involves running CNC mill and lathe machines, documenting progress using data collection sheets and Microsoft Navision software, and completing machine tool adjustments after training.
Responsibilities
Run CNC mill and lathe machines and document progress using data collection sheets and Microsoft Navision software.
Complete machine tool adjustments after completed and documented training.
Use measuring equipment to track product quality, ensuring defect-free production with quality assurance assistance.
Operate inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gages, comparators, and CMM.
Lift 50 lbs., use a pallet jack, and operate small hand tools for deburring and cutting.
Adhere to posted work hours, ensuring punctuality.
Move product in and out of the department using a forklift.
Essential Skills
5+ years of full set-ups on CNC mills & lathes from set-up sheets.
Blueprint reading.
Ability to edit programs using G&M codes at the machine on machine controls.
Quality inspection utilizing inspection tools.
Ability to travel to Michigan for training.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CNC, Mills, Lathes, and machine set-ups.
Knowledge of program edits, machining, and Fanuc.
Work Environment
Work on the 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Training will be Monday-Friday in Michigan with hotels paid and per diem for meals, returning home on weekends. After training, work full-time onsite in Hudson, OH with no travel. The facility is very clean and well-organized, focusing on manufacturing fasteners for the automotive industry.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
