Development Engineer

ROLE: Development Engineer LOCATION: Andover TERM: Permanent SALARY: GBP 28,000: GBP 35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on a Development Engineer, on a permanent basis, to join their team in Andover.

The Development Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: : Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar : 1 years' or more experience working in a similar hands:on Mechanical Design / Development position within a manufacturing environment : Proficiency with using 3D CAD; ideally SolidWorks but other software will be considered : Have the ability to select the correct engineering components and materials : Previous experience of working with special purpose machine assemblies, test rigs or precision tooling would be desirable : Excellent communication skills : The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team The Development Engineer role will involve: : Designing development equipment, prototype production tooling, test rigs, machine parts and other equipment in an engineering development environment : Working with SolidWorks CAD software : Updating 3D models and drawings : Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs : Checking drawings for sign off : Working in a multi:disciplinary engineering team : Providing engineering problem resolution and support : Working in a small multi:disciplinary team on varied projects If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
