Job Summary and Responsibilities
In keeping with the Pacific Central Coast Health Centers health care philosophy, the Orthopedic Physician Assistant works together with an orthopedic trauma team to treat patients and support trauma program. The Orthopedic Physician Assistant will participate in the care of patients in the operating room and surgery, pre-op and post-op care and on the floor. Will coordinate care with other services and evaluate and help manage patients in the emergency room.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
1-3 years prior experience as a Physician Assistant. Knowledge of physician assistant principles and techniques.
PA State Certification.
DEA license.
Team leader, excellent communication skills, commitment to providing patient care in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years prior experience in orthopedics is preferred, however willing to train the right candidate.
