Site Reliability Engineer

As Site Reliability Engineer, you'll have strong GitLab expertise to support and enhance enterprise platforms.

This role will focus primarily on GitLab while also maintaining Jira and Confluence.

The ideal candidate will proactively drive improvements, implement automation, and advocate for broader adoption of GitLab across the organization.

What you'll do: * Administer and optimize GitLab, Jira, and Confluence, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.

* Develop and maintain automation for build, deployment, and monitoring.

* Design, implement, and enhance CI/CD pipelines in GitLab with integrated security and compliance.

* Manage infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux server administration.

* Conduct gap analysis and recommend platform enhancements to improve efficiency and user adoption.

* Act as a GitLab ambassador, demonstrating value and encouraging platform adoption across stakeholders.

* Provide technical consultation on upgrades, features, and integrations to strengthen platform capabilities.

* Ensure compliance with federal security requirements (e.g., NIST 800-53). What you'll need to succeed: * Active Secret Clearance * 3+ years with AWS, Azure, or GCP * Strong, hands-on GitLab administration and CI/CD experience * Proficiency in Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, etc.) * Skilled in Bash/Shell and Python for automation * Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) * Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s, EKS, Helm) * Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical value * Prior federal government experience SALARY RANGE: $142,000 - $157,000 The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: * The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience * The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs * Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation * This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include: * Performance-based bonuses * Company-paid training and/or certifications * Referral bonuses
