SAP Senior FICO Consultant

Enzo Tech Group are working with a leading Utilities provider in Belgium who are embarking on a post–go-live SAP S/4HANA Finance Support and Optimization programme.

They require a Freelance Senior SAP FICO Consultant to join them on an initial 6 month engagement.

This role will focus on stabilizing and enhancing Record-to-Report (R2R) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes within the client's S/4HANA 2022 landscape, ensuring financial integrity, automation, and compliance with Belgian GAAP, IFRS, and EU energy sector regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 functional support for SAP FICO modules, resolving issues across FI, CO, and IS-U integration points

• Troubleshoot and optimize processes in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Accounting, and Asset Accounting

• Support CO processes including Cost Centre Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Centre Accounting, and CO-PA

• Review and automate key financial workflows, reducing manual interventions across R2R and P2P cycles

• Redesign or enhance Account Determination, Document Splitting, and Tax Configuration based on evolving business needs

• Maintain integration between FI-CO, MM, SD, IS-U, and Treasury modules

• Capture new business requirements and prepare functional specifications for enhancements and reports

• Support finance closing cycles and reconciliation reporting to ensure data accuracy and compliance

• Conduct testing, validation, and deployment of configuration changes and OSS notes

• Deliver training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to Finance and Controlling teams

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of SAP FICO experience, with strong hands-on expertise in S/4HANA environments

• Proven track record in post–go-live support, financial stabilization, and continuous improvement projects

• In-depth functional knowledge of FI and CO modules

• Strong understanding of R2R and P2P financial cycles within the utilities or energy sector

• Experience with IS-U integration, reconciliation processes, and intercompany postings

• Familiarity with Fiori apps, Embedded Analytics, and CDS Views for financial reporting

• Ability to design and document configuration changes, functional specifications, and RCA reports

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is an advantage
