Carabetta Management is looking to hire an experienced Payroll Practitioner to work out of their corporate office in Meriden, CT!

Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday (ON SITE)

Pay: Depending on Experience

Performs a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities, as well as performs tasks to establish and maintain employee/payroll records. Although duties normally follow established procedures, responsibilities may include routine, minor corrections to make documents acceptable for processing. Works under general supervision.

The responsibilities of the Payroll Practitioner are:

Compute wage and overtime payments

Calculate and record payroll deductions

Process requests for paycheck advances

Processing terminations

Check and audit timekeeping records for compliance with established standards

Maintaining time and attendance records

Entering new hires into the payroll system

Posting changes in pay and tax status, and miscellaneous changes

Operate all departmental equipment

The requirements of the Payroll Practitioner are:

3 years past office experience, including bookkeeping, accounting, payroll training

FPC preferred

Experience using ADP payroll processing software

Knowledge of calculator and word processing, and spreadsheet programs

Proficiency in MS Office

Good math/accounting aptitude

Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 lbs
