Facility:

This is a Level 3 pediatric facility with 5 beds in the department. The facility is a trauma level 0 hospital that maintains high standards of care and requires board certification (or at minimum board eligibility) for its physicians. The facility has a well-established pediatric department with a focus on providing comprehensive care to the community.

Opportunity: Pediatrician

This is a locum tenens position to provide coverage for a scheduled vacation period. The assignment dates include August 15-17, with potential for ongoing work starting from 8/2/2025. The facility sees approximately 2 patient encounters per shift.

Job Details:

Provide pediatric patient care in a 5-bed department

Average of 2 patients per shift

Preferred skills include ventilation management for newborns

Experience with intubation for newborns is preferred

Ability to perform various procedures including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is preferred

X-ray and EKG interpretation skills are beneficial

Experience with suturing minor lacerations and circumcision procedures is preferred

Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS

Fellowship experience (2 years) is required

Estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days
