Job Description
Performs routine X-ray procedures as ordered by the providers. Ensures that equipment necessary to perform related duties is operational, accessible, and properly maintained. Assures compliance with all regulatory agencies.
The duties include:
Interacts with employees and patients in a respectful and confidential manner consistent with the mission and values of CareSouth Carolina.
Conducts routine X-ray procedures, i.e., chest, skull series, extremities, sinus, and abdominal images.
Maintains required logs, i.e., retakes, preventive maintenance, i.e., eye wash station (if applicable), washing tube warm-up.
Performs cassette screen cleaning semi-annually and apron testing annually.
Monitors when images are sent to the radiologist, when images are read, and when reports are received via computer.
Employees wear x-ray badge monitors at all times during work hours and use appropriate techniques to minimize exposure.
Actively participates and is involved in Quality projects, develops PDSAs, and is an employee who promotes change concepts within their position and with other positions as a team member at CSC.
Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited radiography program, ARRT registered
South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association certificate (SCRQSA)
Must complete required CEU’s on time to ensure Certification remains active
BLS Certification is required

Monday-Friday, 40 Hours, Full Time
Location
Will float between the Dillon, Chesterfield, McColl, and Society Hill offices.
