Diesel Mechanic (Part Time)
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain proficiency in the diagnostics and repair of all assigned equipment.
Assist senior technician in the completion of work
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and modifications to assigned equipment.
Read and comprehend service troubleshooting guides using OEM software
Maintain a basic level of skill in diesel after treatment, air brakes, electrical and lighting systems.
Perform daily yard checks
Perform safety and annual inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations
Install, mount, and dismount tires
Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns during working hours as needed
Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company/OSHA standards
Interact courteously and professionally with drivers, vendors, and other employees regarding vehicle repairs and shop business.
Assist in the completion of required documentation including vehicle write-ups, work orders, and timecards.

Special Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
Experience with OEM software is preferred
Brake certification in accordance with FMCSA § 396.25 required
Basic computer skills such as email and Word
