Job Summary:

This role is a key position within the Delaware Leadership team responsible for the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple functions. It will play an important role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of LEAN methodology, and the supporting framework, to deliver business transformation.

Key responsibilities:

Partner with plant leadership to develop a site master plan for implementing lean best practices. Regularly keep the team updated on progress.

To identify and deliver service improvement activity across the business through employing process improvement methodologies (i.e. visual management, process control strategies, 5S programs, etc.)

Conduct regular value stream reviews with Plant Leaders to ensure implemented best practices are being sustained and producing intended results (RIP, DMS, etc)

Train and build capability in all levels of organization regarding lean manufacturing to ensure that the techniques and mind set become established across the workforce and that targeted delivery of the manufacturing process is robustly applied to maximize benefits

Provide production support in areas of safety, quality, throughput improvement, supply chain, engineering problems and cost reductions

Required Qualifications/Professional Experiences /Years of Experience/Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum of ten years of experience leading various operational disciplines in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated results for Profit/Loss Responsibility and measurable evidence of continuous improvement

Experience at various levels of leading cross functional departments and managing both Salaried and Hourly personnel

Excellent demonstrated leadership skills

Sound administrative skills with well-developed management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree

Six Sigma Blackbelt certification

Lean Manufacturing certification
