We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Jefferson, Louisiana. This position focuses on comprehensive patient evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation of care that supports a safe and effective return to functional independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians

Deliver functional, goal-driven therapy sessions—individual, concurrent, and group—based on patient needs

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to address barriers to discharge and ensure timely planning

Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, safety, and home exercise programs

Complete timely and accurate documentation per facility and regulatory requirements

Ensure care is delivered under valid physician orders and insurance approvals

Participate in student education, professional development, and community outreach as assigned

Adhere to state practice acts, ethical standards, and organizational safety protocols

Qualifications:

Current and valid Physical Therapy license in Louisiana (or eligible)

Prior inpatient or acute care/LTAC experience preferred

Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and time management skills

Familiarity with performance improvement practices and documentation systems
