About Skyscanner

Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges ️. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily .

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all .

Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here).

Now, we’re on the lookout for a Senior International Tax Manager to help us bring that vision to even more travellers.

About the role

(Hybrid)

We’re looking for a trusted and forward-thinking Senior International Tax Manager to join our Global Finance team. You’ll be the go-to voice on all things tax — helping to shape how we structure, report, and strategise across markets. Think of this as a mix of precision and partnership: technical tax expertise meets real-world business savvy.

You’ll act as a catalyst for positive change, driving efficiency, accuracy, and insight through automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Working across Finance, Legal, and Treasury, you’ll make sure we’re not just compliant — we’re clever, proactive, and ready for whatever’s next.

What you’ll be doing

Championing tax transformation: driving automation, process optimisation, and analytics to make our tax function smarter, faster, and more insightful.

Advising senior leaders: spotting risks and opportunities early, and helping shape strategic decisions.

Owning forecasting and reporting: delivering forward-looking insights that influence business planning and boost transparency.

Managing audits and open positions: ensuring smooth resolutions and embedding a “no surprises” culture across Finance.

Shaping transfer pricing compliance: aligning policy, reporting, and agreements in partnership with Finance and Legal.

Supporting OECD Pillar 2 delivery: collaborating with advisors to assess impacts on structure, reporting, and strategy.

Advising on employment tax obligations: from global mobility and benefits to equity-based compensation.

Partnering across teams: working with Engineering, People, and Finance to maximise R&D and innovation-related incentives.

Driving corporate structuring projects: ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with business goals.

Collaborating with Treasury and FP&A: supporting priorities like budgeting, cash tax planning, and ETR management.

Mentoring and inspiring others: building advisory capability and fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous learning.

Building relationships externally: maintaining credibility with advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.

About you

Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent, with strong post-qualification international tax experience.

Strategic thinker: able to connect detailed technical insight to commercial impact.

Experienced across jurisdictions: skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance globally.

Technically fluent: comfortable with transfer pricing, deferred tax, VAT/GST, DST, employment tax, and R&D incentives.

Project leader: structured, agile, and able to manage complexity with calm confidence.

Proactive problem solver: you anticipate challenges and navigate ambiguity with ease.

Collaborative influencer: trusted by peers and leaders alike to steer decisions and align teams.

Mentor at heart: passionate about coaching others and raising the bar for excellence.

Commercially minded: confident engaging senior leadership to shape business direction.

Industry aware: experience in tech, digital, or consumer-facing brands is a bonus (but not a dealbreaker).
