Contract – Permanent

Working Hours – 4 on 4 off, 19:30 – 06:00

Location – Bristol

The Role:

Reporting into the Service Delivery Leader (SDL) you will efficiently carry out maintenance and overhaul of rail vehicles to laid down standards and procedures.

What You’ll Do:

Carry out work as allocated by the SDL within set timescales and to the recognised standards

Operate (drive) rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures, perform Designated Person duties

Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction

Ensure that work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work

Ensure that the appropriate Quality and Environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to

Attend technical, quality, safety and general briefings ensuring that the necessary action is taken on items raised

Undertake Safety Critical Work Regulations assessments under the guidance of the SDL, taking remedial action where necessary

What You Bring:

Qualifications – minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering

Experience – involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities

Knowledge – good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Engineering – strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
