Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details – Columbus, OH

Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1940 - $1990

Assignment Length: 13-16 weeks (Start: December 1, 2025; End: March 23, 2026)

Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30); day/night shifts available

Hours per Week: 36

Unit: 19 James Med Surg Oncology

Patient Ratio: 1:4

Orientation: 72 hours

Floating: Required to float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (Med/Surg Telemetry nursing preferred)

Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio state RN license required at submission)

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

BCLS certification required

EPIC charting experience required

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal leader)

Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, chemotherapy administration, and symptom management

Manage comorbidities, infection prevention, and fall risk interventions

Operate specialized medical equipment: B450 monitors, GE telemetry systems, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds

Perform IV starts, central/PICC line care, arterial line management, and blood product administration

Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy

Interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
