Travel RN Job Details

Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) – Ohio nursing jobs

Facility: 21 East and West, HN and Neuro Unit

Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract

Contract Length: 13-16 weeks

Start Date: December 1, 2025

End Date: March 23, 2026

Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30); day/night rotating shift option available

Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1940 - $1990

Patient Ratio: 1:5

Self-Scheduling: Submit your preferred schedule requests before final schedule is posted

Orientation: 1 week dayshift classroom, 36 hours on-unit with preceptor

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (Med/Surg Telemetry preferred)

Active Registered Nurse license (Ohio state or compact nursing license required)

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

BLS certification required

EPIC charting experience required

Clinical skills: IV starts, telemetry, tracheostomy management

Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity

Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leader)

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Oncology nursing experience preferred

Previous travel nurse experience preferred

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, specializing in oncology, neuro-oncology, and head & neck cancer cases

Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy care/management

Manage drains (JP, Hemovacs) and adhere to infection prevention protocols

Monitor and document patient progress using EPIC electronic health records

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services

Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed

Participate in self-scheduling and communicate schedule preferences

Engage in continuous learning during orientation and throughout the travel contract
