Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Illinois requiring an active IL RN license and night shift availability.
Responsibilities
Work in a 36-bed med/surg/ortho unit within a hospital setting
Patient ratios typically 1:5 with CNA support or may be 1:4 as primary care if CNA unavailable
12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
Required to float to ED/ICU for medical holds only
No on-call or call-back requirements
Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience is required
Care for med/surg and orthopedic patient populations
Resilient, hard-working, and adaptable individuals preferred
Social and collaborative team skills are valued
Scrub color requirement is navy blue
COVID-19 vaccination is not required at this time but is subject to change
Requirements
Active IL RN license required; no pending or temporary licenses accepted
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification required
Minimum of 2 years recent med/surg nursing experience
Epic charting experience required
Candidates must reside outside a 40-mile radius from the facility
Must be able to work confidently and independently
