What you will do

Act as the Official Customs Officer for Atlantic Inertial Systems ltd

Provide expert advice to our project teams and stakeholders on customs compliance and procedures (inclusive of import and export)

Maintain accurate and auditable import records

Provide clearance instructions

Oversee brokers customs clearances, ensuring timely and accurate HMRC declarations

Manage and maintain all customs special procedures (e.g., IP, OP, TA, CW, AEO), ensuring they are updated and renewed as needed.

Complete and submit all required customs reports, quarterly filings with HMRC, including bills of discharge.

Support regulatory (United Kingdom/U.S.) and company policy related investigation and disclosure activities, implement resulting corrective actions

Take responsibility of documentation ensuring all processes are met with the highest standard and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in law or business and/or equivalent experience

Experience within customers is critical, knowledge of global customs and trade requirements

General understanding of export classification

Proven experience in documentation management within customs

Attention to detail and the ability to work with high volumes of paperwork

SC Clearance required

This role will work onsite in Plymouth, can transition to hybrid working once established.
