We are recruiting for a Year 6 Teacher for a Primary School in Atherton (M46) to work on a long-term basis starting immediately!

The Year 6 Teacher role is to start immediately and will continue until Fri 19/12/25.This role is working 5 x full days per week Monday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. There are 30 children in the class and there is one full-time TA working on a one to one basis with an SEND child. The school would like someone who has previous KS2 teaching experience and someone who has strong behaviour management skills.

Your role & responsibilities:

Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work

Guiding students through the curriculum, marking working, setting home working tasks

Managing behaviour

Upholding school's behaviour and safeguarding policies

Planning and delivering engaging lessons

Non-negotiables:

You must have relevant experience teaching pupils

Hold QTS

Knowledge of the national curriculum

Be passionate and understanding

Have confidence in managing classes of pupils

Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning

Good communication skills
