What You’ll Do
As a Defence VTC Specialist you will work without immediate supervision or direction, undertake the full range of challenging end to end advanced activation and assurance functions, aligned to our current and future technology products and services. In addition, you will be tasked with Operating at the customers site to action incidents, service requests, and project tasks for information on the customers ICT environment.
Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to:
Management, organisation, and installation of video conferencing equipment in the defence environment.
Working with our VIP customers to deliver a premium onsite service that meets SLA requirements.
Proactive looking for opportunities to support regional defence team, actively seek and support the regional team, with issues and opportunities.
Working on the customers ICT environment that includes Defence’s Juniper ICT network, wireless technology, Skype of business voice, Video conferencing and passive infrastructure (Fibre and copper).
Managing workload within the customers services management tool to meet SLA’s
Working individually or with other teams to resolve incidents within SLA’s.
Working individually or with other teams to deliver service requests that meet the customers’ requirements within SLA’s.
Updating documentation during changes such as cable solve or MDF record books to maintain accuracy of the ICT environment.
Maintain and report the security of the ICT environment.
Provide weekly reporting or escalation to the Delivery Manager.
Provide input into and maintain technical and or Procedural documentation.
About You
To hit the ground running we are looking for individuals who can confidently demonstrate the following:
Hold a minimum of NV1 AGSVA security clearance and be willing and capable to undergo clearance to NV2 level.
High degree of customer management skills
Advanced skills in VTC & AV
Knowledge on Data networks such as Juniper, Cisco, Polycom.
Experience in voice technology IP and analogue SFB.
Experience with passive ICT copper and fibre.
Highly skilled in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
Expert communication and presentation skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage conflicting demands
Experience acting in a Program Manager capacity (desirable)
Broad knowledge of commercial, technical & legal issues (desirable)
Construction industry exposure through project management (desirable)
Please note all candidates must be Australian Citizens and hold a minimum of NV1 AGSVA security clearance to be considered. This role will require you to hold and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance.
