Who We Are:
The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) oversees capital projects undertaken by state agencies and state-supported higher education institutions; manages Ohio's school facility programs which support the construction and renovation of public K-12 schools; and administers the funding for community-based cultural and sports facilities projects.
The Commission sets uniform rules, procedures, and standardized documents for state construction under Chapter 153.
The legislature established the Commission in 2012 with the merger of the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) and the former Office of State Architect. In 2013, the Commission undertook oversight of the cultural facilities grants program. In 2017, the legislature further folded all OSFC duties and responsibilities into the Commission, consolidating guidance and oversight for its various programs into one entity.
In 2021, the Commission celebrated 100 years of public construction in the Buckeye State.
What We Do:

What You'll Do:
Under the direction of the IT Support/Training Manager within the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC), assist in the maintenance, administration & documentation support for various OFCC systems &/or applications (e.g. OAKS-CI, custom Java applications, etc.) to over 3,000 OFCC customers (e.g. state agencies, public school districts, higher education institutions, OFCC’s internal project staff, etc.) by re-searching & resolving assigned support desk cases, researching & accurately responding to customers questions & issues, maintaining end user & vendor information, etc.
Execute system test scripts &/or verify system test results to ensure the desired effect
Develop, organize, file, & maintain system documentation and job aids
Assist project teams with the resolution of production support issues as they relate to OFCC’s supported systems &/or applications
Assist users in accessing & querying data & developing reports
Provide backup for infrastructure and web content management activities
Assist with onboarding and offboarding, conduct routine provisioning of accounts, and work on routine infrastructure support tickets as assigned
Post updated documents and opportunities to the OFCC websites and make minor content revisions
Collaborate with other IT Professionals regarding facilitating system enhancements (e.g., assist with developing & presenting briefings depicting system enhancements; assist with training labs, editing & reviewing job aids, & delivering training)
Perform other related duties as assigned

6 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following\: computers &/or electronics and/or in telecommunications performing routine analysis, programming, installation, maintenance and/or systems support, solving problems with pre-determined methods on basic hardware or software including experience providing customer support.

-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Unless required by legislation or union contract, salary will be set at the lowest rate of the salary range with gradual increases in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code or OCSEA/AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement.
