Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
Travelling to domestic and occasional international supplier sites to conduct quality surveillance, such as process audits, product audits, PDVIs, and FATs, to ensure contractual compliance and product conformity
Supporting suppliers with their root cause identification and resolution of corrective actions via monitoring of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs)
Where appropriate, working with suppliers directly to support creation and execution of correction action plans to address process failures
Providing support and assistance to suppliers in their facilitation of Quality Plans and improvement initiatives
Conducting validation audits of new suppliers against requirements
Interfacing and liaising with appropriate areas of the business to ensure work schedules are met and results are effectively communicated and deployed
Generating supplier performance metrics to aid monthly performance monitoring
Planning, coordinating, leading and driving of the supplier audit programme
Building and improving productive and effective relationships with suppliers
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Knowledge/Understanding of Quality Management (e.g. ISO9001 / EN9100 standards)
Clear understanding of how to apply policies, procedures and processes
Application of the full range of quality engineering tools and techniques (e.g. 8D, 5Ys, Fishbone etc)
Ability to use standard IT systems
Communicate with clarity and impact, both in writing and speech, effectively influencing and engaging diverse audiences, with ability to drive and deliver results
Lead Internal auditor – ISO 9001
Desirable:
HNC, Degree, equivalent qualification in engineering, manufacturing or quality
Background in Defence and or the Royal Navy
Membership of the CQI
SAP – ERP Program or similar experience

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer you will be a trusted representative in supplier audits, engaging senior stakeholders, leading cross-functional teams, and driving successful outcomes. Skilled in negotiation, program management, and clear reporting, while building strong supplier and customer relationships and delivering results across boundaries.
