**Job Description:**
Parsons needs your Rail and Transportation Engineer in Denmark! In this role, you will get to work on a dynamic team with other rail systems professionals to on rail system infrastructure projects for our key clients in Denmark
The Senior Systems Engineer will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to project delivery for all stages of the project including writing proposals, developing various project documentation, engineering studies and conceptual designs, preliminary, and detailed design stages, project management, systems engineering, integration, testing and commissioning, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems. The systems engineer will actively support the integration of system processes and methodologies to ensure the effectiveness of total system performance. This role will involve extensive coordination with various internal and external project teams to address issues and progress project activities and deliverables.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Support overall project initiatives (RFP/bid stages) and systems delivery on both greenfield and brownfield projects.
+ Deliver system engineering and integration activities in accordance with common standards such as ISO and CENELEC.
+ Develop and implement systems engineering processes to manage project life cycles including systems engineering, requirements management, and interface and integration management plans.
+ Analyze the design and interface points for various Systems and sub-systems such as: Communication Systems including communication/data networks, fiber optics distribution infrastructure, SCADA systems, passenger information systems, CCTV, security and access control systems, and station PA systems; Power Supply and Distribution Systems including traction power and substation equipment; Guideway Intrusion systems.
+ Designing interface sub-systems and coordinate integration activities and between various project teams such as Signaling, Rolling Stock, Telecom systems, Civil infrastructure, Supporting system, etc.
+ Develop engineering studies involving different sub-systems, such as designing train stopping points, stabling locations, stop areas for trains in emergency scenarios, evacuation design, passenger announcement, etc.
+ Support testing and commissioning (T&C) activities including development and review of T&C procedures, developing T&C schedule, and performing field inspections and witnessing T&C tests as needed to ensure compliance with design.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Engineering Degree from an accredited institution. An advanced degree may be preferred at this level. Incumbents typically have a BS/MS degree in engineering, technical, or scientific discipline.
+ 5+ years of related professional experience in railway projects
+ Experience with managing integration and implementing multiple system and sub-system interfaces
+ Experience using DOORS or equivalent for requirements managements.
+ Functional Safety certification and/or experience with CENELEC standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 50159)
+ Experience with CBTC system.
+ Must be fluent in English
+ Excellent communication and written skills.
