Your Role

We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager, who will report directly to the Affinity Health & Safety Director. The main function of the role is to be responsible for ensuring that safe working practices are in place for all functions of the business. The resource will be based in Mantova, our new wet plant, and will follow also Castelgomberto plant

What you will do

Establish KPIs for the site and develop a monitoring/review process.

Arrange a system of review and principles of CI. are used to drive improvements.

Be active part of Integrated Management System developing and integration. Manage the system and develop towards attaining and maintaining ISO or equivalent standards.

Organize and deliver appropriate safety training for all staff members. Identify and arrange areas where training /certification is required to meet legal, business, insurance, and moral requirement.

Establish and maintain communication structure for safety consultation.

Establish and maintain strong communication between main stakeholders

Boost H&S initiatives increasing awareness and Safety Culture (BSO)

Establish and maintain process for managing and controlling visitors and contractors.

Ensure that all incidents are recorded, communicated and appropriately investigated.

Ensure the reporting obligations are met.

Keep up to date with changes in legal and other requirements that affect the business.

Review these changes with the senior team and assess its impact.

Maintain CPD to ensure correct knowledge levels.

Ensure an appropriate risk management process is in place and maintained it.

Ensure that identified control measures are considered and where appropriate introduced.

Set up and maintain an appropriate auditing schedule.

Safety Committee participation and actions follow up

Ensuring inspections are appropriate carried out and recorded.

CAPEX and H&S Budget definition and follow-up according with strategy and country needs

Monitor performance and communicate clearly to the extended team.

Ensure Health Surveillance and employees wellbeing managing initiatives aligned with the strategy

What we are looking for

Occupational Health & Safety Diploma/Master or equivalent.

ISO 45001

Use thinking skills to analyse, decide, prioritise and plan.

Able to influence people at all levels.

Team management experience

Transformational leadership

Trustworthy leader and team player.

Communication and punctuality.

Efficient and outgoing.

Significant relevant H&S operational experience – preferably within FMCG, Pet food, Pharma
