Job Description

As a Security Officer - Utilities Facility Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within environments that include utility spaces and cultural institutions. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and offering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response actions as directed by Allied Universal.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, adapting to the unique needs of locations such as public parks and cultural sites.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including both indoor and outdoor areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.

Monitor and report irregularities, such as unusual activity or property damage, in areas related to utilities infrastructure and cultural institution facilities.

Support the enforcement of site rules and guidelines to help to deter disruptions and promote a welcoming environment for visitors and staff.

Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and emergency responders as required.

Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly report security-related concerns or potential hazards to appropriate Allied Universal contacts.

Assist with access control procedures, including verifying credentials and/or providing directions, as needed in public gathering spaces and high-traffic venues.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
