Before and After School Childcare Staff - Beekman

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring staff for our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year.

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

LOCATION: Beekman Elementary School in Poughquag, NY

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Childcare Program Staff

PAY: $15.50 per hour

HOURS: 7:00 - 8:45 am and 3:00 - 6:00 pm

The Before and After-School Program team is responsible for:

Leading hands-on activities in alignment with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, which includes fitness, STEAM, academics, art, group activities, and homework support.

Creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, clean, and enjoyable environment while serving as a positive role model for children.

Arriving on time, ready to work at scheduled hours, and remaining until the last child has been picked up.

Communicating consistently with parents and families through the Playground App.

Following all state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school procedures.

Certain roles may also include management duties such as maintaining accurate attendance, assisting with registration, and supporting staffing needs.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years or older and possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferably at least one year of experience working with children under 13.

Must be medically cleared of communicable diseases, including TB.

Should be warm, enthusiastic, and positive, with excellent interpersonal skills; professional, dependable, and punctual.

Physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs., and staying active to engage with children throughout the day.
