Warehouse Supervisor Night Shift

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our night shift operations. The successful candidate will oversee inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, and team leadership. You will be responsible for supervising warehouse staff, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Forklift and container experience will be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee unloading of cargo from flatbed trucks

• Inspect incoming shipments and ensure accurate documentation

• Supervise placement of goods and maintain inventory records

• Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies

• Coordinate container loading and dispatch schedules

• Manage and train warehouse staff including forklift operators

• Assign daily tasks and monitor team performance

• Ensure forklifts and equipment are maintained and operated safely

• Conduct safety briefings and enforce compliance

• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse

• Manage fuel usage and equipment oversight

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse supervision or logistics operations

• Grade 12 (post-secondary qualification in logistics/supply chain advantageous)

• Valid forklift operator certification

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Proficiency in mobile data capture and warehouse management systems

• Computer literacy in MS Office, Word, Excel

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure

• Willingness to work night shift and weekends if required

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations

Work Environment:

• Physical warehouse setting with exposure to outdoor conditions

• Requires standing, lifting (up to 25kg), and operating machinery
