Schedule: Full-time
Serves as an unclassified employee pursuant to O.R.C. Section 3301.13 and performs the following educational and/or research duties:
Work with State Support Team (SST) Transition and CTPD consultants (coordinating the work as delineated in the Regional SST Grant Agreement)
Primary program contact for Special Education Indicator 1, 2, 13, and 14
Collaborating with other offices in the Department and other statewide agencies that support students in the areas of the above indicators

Office of Accountability
Office of Grants Administration
EMIS, Fiscal offices
Coordinate with statewide agencies to continue Project STIR (Steps Towards Independence and Responsibility)
Managing Secondary Transition Enhancement Funds from the General Revenue Fund
Serving as the liaison with national technical service centers related to Indicators 1, 2, 13, and 14
Program contact for the ODDEX early warning tool and the Students Supports and Intervention Inventory tool
Office contact for the transition section on the IEP
Program contact for the Transition to Work Endorsement
Receives and independently responds to complex telephone calls from the public (e.g., superintendents, directors of special education, attorneys, advocates, and parents) on interpretations of information relating to special education using written correspondence or oral
communication: tracks incoming calls (e.g., records type of caller, issue, facts surrounding issue, follow-up telephone calls, action plan and information given to callers);
Resolves multi-faceted and complex problems regarding children with disabilities;
Provides accurate and complete information on Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Administrative Rules (e.g., 3301-51-01 to 3301-51-08), Ohio Revised Code, Curriculum Guidelines, and other regulations;
Interviews callers & interprets needs of callers;
Ensures excellent customer service and compliance by providing accurate, quick responses and makes appropriate referrals;
Connects customers with resources within the Office of Exceptional Children and throughout the Department;
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Associate Administrator.
Minimum Qualifications
6 years experience providing support and services to children with disabilities including students with the most significant cognitive disabilities.

6 years experience providing support and services to those who work with children with disabilities including students with the most significant cognitive disabilities (i.e., teacher, administrator, professional development provider, technical assistance provider).
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a Masters degree in one of the following areas: Education [i.e., special education, educational administration/leadership, curriculum (core academic content), assessment, English learner, psychology (i.e., school psychology, educational psychology), educational guidance/counseling].
6 years experience providing support and services to children with disabilities including students with the most significant cognitive disabilities;

6 years experience providing support and services to those who work with children with disabilities including students with the most significant cognitive disabilities (i.e., teacher, administrator, professional development provider, technical assistance provider).
