Sand System Technician - 1st Shift

Summary:The Sand System Technician is responsible for monitoring and adjusting sand preparation equipment, so appropriate sand properties are maintained. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind. Ability to take necessary actions to minimize delay time and maximize production.

Schedule: Monday thru Thursday 4:30am to 3:00pm with overtimeStarting Pay: $20.00 per hour Responsibilities:Monitor and operate sand system equipment and other units to prepare sand used in the production of iron castings

Determine and maintain sand levels to maximize sand quality and optimize inventory

Order raw material for all three sand systems to control production demands

and use a computer to monitor the online system information

Ability to perform calibration tests on equipment

Foundry experience preferred but not required
