Principal Engineer - Photonics Device Design

Main Responsibilities for the Principal Engineer - Photonics Device Design : * Design and model photonic components and PICs.

* Lead R&D projects from concept to product launch.

* Validate designs via testing and statistical analysis.

* Guide the definition of PIC-based system architectures for novel applications (e.g., new materials for high-baud-rate transceivers, optical DSP, 6G photonics, RF/mmWave photonics, photonics for AI, 3D/4D image sensing, photonic neural network) * Define system architectures for advanced applications.

* Work with local and global teams on integration and production.

The Successful Applicant Key Requirements for the Principal Engineer - Photonics Device Design : * PhD in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.

* 5+ years in silicon photonics or related industry.

* Experience with PIC design, modelling, and layout tools.

* Proven track record in product development and stakeholder engagement.

* Hands-on experience with photonics software and Python.
